Original plaster cast from a war memorial by F?lix Charpentier (1858-1924)

Model from the city of Bollene - Vaucluse - France - war memorial.   Felix Charpentier was born in Bollene. Sculpture was made in 1920 but inaugurated on November 9th 1930. 'Being completed and having reached its destination in 1920, it was installed only ten years later because of a dispute between the municipality and Charpentier on the location. Councilors favored the cemetery, while the artist, who won, wanted a public square in the city.'  Contemporary base. Sculpture dimension: height 148cm x width 64cm x depth 50 cm.
